Bill Hader was one of the best and most talented members on Saturday Night Live in recent years and like many of those stars, he will be leaving the show after this season.
According to EW.com, Hader said he felt the time was right and as his wife's film career and his own takes off, he wanted to move to Los Angeles and work on more films, including "The To Do List", which opens this summer and was written and directed by his wife and starring Hader as well. During his time at SNL Hader became a big star and worked on films like "Adventureland" and "Knocked Up" and he also appeared in a number of films and animated movies this past year.
Some of his most memorable characters and impressions included Stefon and James Carville, as well as the sports highlight show skit he did with Dwayne Johnson. Hader will depart at the same time as Seth Meyers, as he is taking over Late Night, while Kristen Wiig left last season.
"It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point," Hader told the New York Times. "It got to a point where I said, 'Maybe it's just time to go.'"
