Josh Hamilton was one of the biggest free agent snags of the offseason by the Los Angeles Angels, but so far the team and the product on the field have been far from fantastic, as the team is just 15-25 and Hamilton said he is "off upstairs."
According to ESPN.com, Hamilton feels that his slump has to do with his issues with a sinus congestion that messed with him last season and has made him prone to dizzy spells as well as sensitive to the lights at many stadiums. Hamilton appears to be breaking out a bit after hitting a home run as the DH in the 6-2 win over the Royals on Tuesday, but so far his season has been a disappointment with him hitting .214 with five home runs and 12 RBIs so far after signing a five-year, $125 million deal.
"It was good in Houston and it felt OK in Chicago. Today it felt better," Hamilton said after the game. "I felt like I was seeing the ball better and had a little better pitch selection throughout the game. I felt OK while I was hitting. But like last night, once I would run, I'd kind of feel a little off. So we'll give the medicine a couple of days and see if it kind of works its way out."
