The New York Knicks face the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their bst of seven series. The Knicks have their backs on the wall. If you can't watch this pivotal Game 5, listen to it on the radio as ESPN NY brings to you the live coverage at 8 p.m. ET.
The Knicks are coming off a game where they shot 36 percent from the floor. They forced 16 turnovers, but they couldn't accomplish anything on the offensive side of the ball. They also lost the offensive rebound battle 11-16 while getting demolished on the boards in general, advantage Pacers 54-36. Tyson Chandler finished with 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double, which is great improvement from his previous performance. However, there was no balance anywhere in the Knicks lineup in Game 4. Here's what their stats looked like:
Iman Shumper: 0 Pts, 0-6 FG, 2 Rebs, 1 Ast, 0 Stls
Kenyon Martin: 0 Pts, 5 Rebs, 3 Asts
Amar'e Stoudmemire: 4 Pts, 4 rebounds
Jason Kidd: 0 Pts, 3 Rebs, 1 Stl, 1 Ast
The offense on this night came from Raymond Felton (14), J.R. Smith (19) and Carmelo Anthony (24). It's going to take more than 60-plus points from these three if the Knicks want to stay alive in this series. The Pacers have controlled the paint as Roy Hibbert a tough matchup for the Knicks. Hibbert only scored six points, but he grabbed six offensive rebounds totaling 11 in the game. Paul George and George Hill have been a headache for the Knicks and if New York can't stop these two tonight, then this series could end today.
