The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made one of the best selections in the NFL draft last month after taking quarterback Mike Glennon and while the team already has starter Josh Freeman, there is a chance that rookie could come in and steal the job over the summer, as he has already endeared himself to coach Greg Schiano.

According to NFL.com, Bucs head coach Greg Schiano said that Glennon "can play quickly" and that should be need to step in for Josh Freeman for an injury or another situation that the team wouldn't lose a beat. Schiano said that Glennon will get the chance to compete for playing time and while he said the team already has a starting quarterback, Glennon is ready to compete for the job.

The Buccaneers loved Glennon's size at 6-foot-7 and his big arm, while Schiano raved about his awareness and his intelligence in the huddle. It is likely that Glennon will not be the starter this year, but based on how he has performed so far, Tampa Bay likes what it has in the quarterback. The team went 7-9 last season and finished ranked 10th in passing yards.
