The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers are set to tip off their Eastern conference finals series on Wednesday after a week off and the two teams will meet in South Florida at American Airlines Arena.
Miami and the Pacers will be ready to win after taking down the Knicks, but the Heat will be a huge challenge for Indiana, as they won four games in a row against the Bulls in the second round and have the momentum at the start. James has been fantastic during the playoffs while averaging over 25 points and wade has been solid while playing through injuries, averaging over 20, while Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers have been excellent support through two series.
The Pacers and Heat know each other well and both teams will be looking to take the early advantage, which is what Indiana did last season. The Pacers were up 2-1 on the Heat in the playoffs, but they lost the next three games to get eliminated and now have to face the Heat again. The Pacers are talented and deep with David West, George Hill and Paul George and Roy Hibbert, but without Danny Granger is might be hard to keep with James, who is coming off of another MVP season. Wade and Udonis Haslem have experience in the East finals, as does James, while the Pacers haven't been there in nearly 10 years.
Lasts season the two teams played an intense series and it is expected to be that way again after James and coach Frank Vogel went back and forth over some comments in the media. The teams will be focused and James is ready to win his second straight title after winning his first last season. The Heat will not be worried about resting for too long, as after losing the first game to the Bulls they were able to get back in shape. The Heat will win the first game of the series on Wednesday.
The Grizzlies and Spurs played another entertaining game in Game 2 of their Western conference series, as the Spurs won 93-89 in overtime and now have a 2-0 lead. While the Grizzlies are down, they won't be out, as the team went down 0-2 to the Clippers in the first round before coming back to win. Mike Conley had 18 points and Zach Randolph rebounded with 15 points and 18 boards after scoring just two in the first game. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 17 points, while Tony Parker had 18 assists in the game, a career high.
