This series could have easily been 2-1 in favor of the Grizzlies, but they were unable to close out overtime in the last two games. The Spurs were able to rally back in Game 3 after they down early in that matchup. The Grizzlies had active hands and they forced turnovers. Tony Parker was out of his element as he finished the game with seven turnovers. However, Parker finished with 26 points and as always, he helped keep the offense flowing finishing with five assists.
The Spurs continue to share the ball and that has helped them stage rallies when the Grizzlies go on a run. The Grizzlies had a chance to wrap things up in Game 3 late in the game. Mike Conley, who has emerged as one of the better point guards in the playoffs, drove to the lane and missed a layup, something Chris Paul could have done.
With a win today the Spurs could make their first NBA Finals appearance since sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2007. For Duncan, it could be his fifth championship, tying him with the great Kobe Bryant.
