It's one of those boring days of the week where there will be no NBA Playoff action coming our way. With the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers playing yesterday and the San Antonio Spurs' elimination of the Memphis Grizzlies, fans only have one series to look forward to and that's the Eastern Conference Finals. As the schedule shows, it is empty for Wednesday.
The Heat and Pacers have three more games left in their series, two of which will be played in Miami. With the series knotted 2-2, there is a guarantee that there will be at least six games in this series. As a matter of fact, no fan would probably say they'd be upset if this series in fact goes to second game.
First of all, if the Heat or Pacers clinch immediately, there will be no basketball until June 6, when the NBA Finals Game 1 will be played. Secondly, these games have been absolutely great. Every game a new hero seems to step up. For the Heat it was LeBron James at the buzzer. Then Paul George and Roy Hibbert put on a show in Game 2. Game 3 was about the Heat's supporting role as Udonis Haslem had a career night shooting 8-9 from the floor and scoring 17 points. Game 4 saw Lance Stephenson finally fill his role adequately scoring 20 points.
It can be anybody from either team at any time and that's what makes this series so captivating. Both teams have made the proper adjustments after losing a game and this shows by how close the games have been, all except Game 3, which the Heat dominated in the second half.
The action will resume on Thursday, May 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET from Miami.
