Manchester City Transfer News: Pellegrini Chose City over PSG; Refuses to Rule Out Signing Isco

Manuel Pellegrini said he chose to join Manchester City over Paris Saint Germain, while refusing to rule out a move which will bring Malaga playmaker Isco along with him to the Etihad in the summer.

Pellegrini, for the first time, on Wednesday admitted he had an agreement in place with City to take over from Roberto Mancini once his tenure with Malaga comes to an end this weekend.

The former Real Madrid manager now revealed he had also received an offer from PSG, who are looking to have a replacement in place in case Carlo Ancelotti moves to Real, which he turned down in favor of a move to City and the English Premier League.

"PSG is a very important institution -- one of the most important in Europe -- and they put themselves in contact (with me) but the priority was to work with (Manchester City)," he told Canal Sur.

Pellegrini also refused to rule out a move for Isco, who has also admitted he is considering an offer from the Premier League side with Real Madrid the second club interested in his services.

"Wherever he (Isco) goes he will be a success," the 59-year-old added. "He has tremendous potential and I am happy that I was able to give him his chance in the first division. He will go as far in football as he wants to go."

With Jose Mourinho set to return to Chelsea, Pellegrini is looking forward to renewing rivalries with the outgoing Real Madrid manager in the Premier League next season.

"If we meet again then there will be no problem with Mourinho," he said.

"We are two very different people who just happen to do the same job. We have two different ways of behaving and of going about doing that job.

"I was proud to come to Malaga. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made."
