After clinching that elusive Champions League title, Bayern Munich will now have the opportunity to complete a historic treble when they take on Stuttgart in the German Cup final in Berlin.
Bayern deservedly triumphed in Wembley against Borussia Dortmund in the showpiece Champions League final, winning the coveted title in their third attempt in four years.
The German champions had already romped to the Bundesliga title, winning it by 25 points from Dortmund, and now they have the chance to complete a domestic double with a win in the DFB Pokal final.
"We're all still hungry and totally motivated," Jupp Heynckes, who will step down as Bayern manager after this match, said. "We want a third triumph this season."
"Naturally, it took two or three days until we returned to normality after Wembley, but we've been focused on the cup final since Wednesday. We're definitely capable of pushing the right buttons, focusing completely on the match, and winning it.
"I'm not concerned about it (leaving Bayern). My thoughts are currently with the team and on our preparations for the match."
Bayern will be without Brazilian duo Dante and Luiz Gustavo, who were forced to leave Germany to link up with the Brazil national team in preparation for the Confederations Cup.
Daniel Van Buyten will replace Dante, with Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber also ruled out for the Bavarians.
"It's a massive disappointment for the players," Heynckes said about the two Brazilians missing out on the final. "I've seldom seen players struggling so hard to keep their composure."
Stuttgart do not have too many injury worries and manager Bruno Labbadia, while aware of the magnitude of the challenge that awaits his side, believes they are capable of pulling off an upset.
"We've come here with the intention of winning," Labbadia said. "Bayern are the single absolutely world-class team this season. But we know a lot can happen in a one-off match, and we hope tomorrow (Saturday) is the day for it."
