Tim Tebow Rumors: Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots Fit As Quarterback Has NFL Options Says Danny Wuerffel, QB At Crossroads With CFL and AFL Real Choices

Tim Tebow has been a free agent for some time and after no NFL team has made him an offer to play, people in his camp are divided as to what the quarterback should do next when it comes to his career and one fellow Gator understands where he is coming from.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, former Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel spoke about the whole Tebow situation and said that he understands what the quarterback is going through. Wuerffel also spoke about the negative attention on Tebow and said that the quarterback doesn't deserve that and is a solid player and a hard worker that would be a good teammate on any roster. He mentioned that the popularity of Tebow may have hurt him a bit and the "Tebowmania" could keep him from furthering his career.

Wuerffel has some comparisons to Tebow with his Christian-based organization work and now that Tebow is a free agent, he has to deal with all types of reports, including ones that say he should quit the NFL all together. Tebow has received offers from the CFL and the AFL and while those offers aren't the NFL, they should be seriously considered if he wants to play football this year, as the NFL hasn't come knocking yet.

Tebow had a rough season in New York last year after being traded from the Denver Broncos and the Jets barely used him and he gained just 102 yards rushing and 39 in the air. Tebow was electric with the Broncos and led the team to a playoff win and a division title, but once Peyton Manning hit the market it was all over for Tebow in Denver. He appears to fit with a number of NFL teams, but he has been blackballed due to the constant media speculation and that could be what keeps him from making it onto an NFL roster.

One place that appeared to make sense was the Jaguars, but the team appears content with what it has and now they have replaced anything Tebow would do with Denard Robinson. The fans who want Tebow haven't done him any favors there as well, as they have taken out ads and also petitioned the White House to get the president to intervene, just making the Jaguars even less likely of an option.
