The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers face off and complete their battle as the winner of today's meeting will advance to the 2013 NBA Finals. This is the second Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Playoffs. The Heat and the Pacers had Game 7 written all over it at the beginning of this series and here we are. For the Heat, their advantage lies in the perimeter as they have an abundance of shooters. For the Pacers, it was all about their size and strength. Both teams have implemented their styles of attack and both teams have succeeded three times in the series.
If you follow the pattern, the Heat are supposed to win Game 7. LeBron James won Game 1 then the Heat lost Game 2. In Game 3, Miami blew the Pacers out and many thought the series would be over, but then Indiana rallied back in Game 4 to avoid the 1-3 deficit. The Heat won Game 5, but couldn't lock up the series in Game 6.
The team that runs their style of game and imposes their will on the other will win this game. There is no tomorrow. There will be only 48 minutes left in one of these two team's season.
Paul George has placed his name on the map. Can he close out the series in fashion? How will Roy Hibbert go out as the big man is looking more like a breed between Shaquille O'Neal and Hakeem Olajuwan. He's not as smooth as the Dream because he's bulky like Shaq, but his hook is so consistent and nobody can block that shot.
James has played like the true MVP that he is, but his teammates are not helping. It's hard to believe and sort of sad to mention that Udonis Haslem has been the most helpful Heat, but he's so inconsistent that it's difficult to say Haslem can score 17 points in every game. Chris Bosh has apologized to his teammates for his poor game.
Needless to say, the Heat have to win in order to avoid the upset. The Pacers are the team many are rooting for as they would love to see the King fall and lose his thrown as the Heat are the defending champions. On the line is the Heat's NBA Finals streak and the chance to repeat as champions. For the Pacers, they have a chance to play the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.
