The quarterfinal brackets are half way completed, but after Wednesday's scheduled action, the semifinal meetings will have been completed. Here is Wednesday's schedule as superstars get ready to take the court at the 2013 French Open.
These are the order of matches as the singles tournament for both Men and Women is quickly wrapping up.
Court Philippe Chatrier
2 P.M. UTC / 8 a.m. ET- Jelena Jankovic (18) vs. Maria Sharapova (2)
(Immediately Following ) Rafael Nadal (3) vs. Stanislas Wawrinka (9)
Court Suzanne Lenglen
2 p.m. UTC/8 a.m. ET- Maria Kirilenko (12) vs. Victoria Azarenka (3)
(Immediately Following) Novak Djokovic (1) vs. Tommy Haas (12)
Analysts are considering the Haas and Djokovic as the main event on schedule. These guys have met seven times since 2006 and Haas has given Djokovic a run for his money. Djokovic has won 4 of 7 meetings, however, Haas won the first meeting between the two earlier this year in Florida. Djokovic, however, has the only victory on clay as he defeated Haas in the third round back in 2006 when they first met.
As far as the other matchups go, Nadal has the super clear advantage over Wawrinka having won all nine of their matchups. As far as the Women's Singles matchup goes, Azarenka has a 3-2 edge over Kirilenko. These two haven't met since the 2012 London Olympics. Sharapova also has the clear advantage holding a 7-1 record against Jankovic
