Atlanta Braves Live Stream vs. Pittsburgh Pirates: Watch Free Online as ATL Looks to Sweep Bucs

Jun 05, 2013 11:46 AM EDT

The Atlanta Braves are on a streak and the Pittsburgh Pirates will try to avoid a sweep Wednesday night at 12:10 p.m. ET. Check out the live stream available at no charge online as MLB.TV has it as it's Free Game of the Day.

The Braves will send one of their hottest arms to the mound as Julio Teheran takes the hill against veteran lefty, Wandy Rodriguez. Teheran is coming of a loss to the Washington Nationals where he allowed three runs over 6.2 innings pitched. He is showing his greatness however as he struck out nine Nats while walking one. Teheran is 3-2 with a 3.71 ERA in 2013 proving he is able to handle being the fifth starter in the major league pitching rotation.

He will look to better on his last pitching performance against these Pirates where he gave up four runs over five innings pitched. Looking at Teheran's numbers, this outing became a changing point as the young right-hander has not allowed more than three runs since this star against the Pirates.

For Rodriguez, he will be looking to build on his last start against the Braves. He pitched one-hit baseball through seven innings pitched while striking out five Braves. Rodriguez is also coming off a lost as the Cincinnati Reds mustered 2 ER over seven innings pitched.

The Pirates are once again in the middle of a pennant race. They are looking to make their first postseason appearance since the early 90's. They are in third place in the N.L. Central right behind the St. Louis Cardinals and Reds. They are trailing the Cardinals by 3.5 games and are just one behind the Reds. They will have the tough task of beating a Braves team that has the best home record in baseball.

So far this season, Atlanta is 20-7 when playing in Turner Field. They have won four straight games and are holding a seven-game lead over the Washington Nationals, the biggest in any division so far in the season.
