LeBron James has been the best player in the NBA for a number of years and now he will get the video game cover to prove it, as the Miami Heat star is now on the cover of the new NBA 2K14 game coming out this October.

According to Yahoo Sports, James is the first four-time MVP to grace a video game cover and he replaces the cover of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson from 2012 and Jordan from 2011. Last year the cover had Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant. The game will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4 and will be released in the fall and marks the first time James is on the cover of a game. James has a number of accolades already with MVPs, an NBA championship and two gold medals and now he can add this accomplishment to the list as well.

James said he was thrilled to be on the cover and the game is expected to sell a ton of copies, not just because LeBron is now on the cover. Last year's game set records and the 2K14 version is expected to do the same. James is coming off of a tough Game 1 in the NBA finals after dropping it 92-88 to the Spurs and now Miami will have to rally to get the series victory.

James did his part with 18 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple double, but it wasn't enough to beat the Spurs. Tony Parker made an amazing shot at the end of the game and ended up with 21 points and six assists, while Tim Duncan had 14 rebounds in the victory.
