NBA Finals Schedule: Sunday Time, Date Heat vs. Spurs Game 2

Jun 09, 2013 12:59 AM EDT

Let's be real, this is a must win situation for the Maimi Heat. The San Antonio Spurs are up 1-0 after stealing Game 1 from the defending champs. Check out the schedule for Game 2 of the 2013 NBA Finals between the Heat and Spurs.

The Heat struggled late in in the first game of the series. They had as many shots made as they had turnovers. You can blame the Heat players for not executing, but why were both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on the bench at the same time? The Heat weren't winning by that many points and the offense was terrible immediately after the Spurs brough the ball up in the opening seconds of the fourth quarter.

If Miami wants to win consecutive championships, they will have to win Game 2. San Antonio is too good to let a 2-0 lead slip. They experienced losing four straight games in the 2012 Western Conference Finals and they are avoiding those circumstances again in 2013. So far, when going up 2-0, the Spurs have swept those series. They were up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Lakers and that series finishe in four. They were up 2-0 on the Western Conference Finals against the Memphis Grizzlies and that series wrapped up at the FedEx Forum in four. If Miami doesn't want to suffer the same fate, then Game 2 is there's for the taking.

The good news is that Miami has lost a Game 1 before. The Chicago Bulls took Game 1 from them in the second round of the playoffs. It was definitely a shocker. The Spurs are probably the most fundamentally sound team in the NBA and the Heat were dominating them throughout Game 1. James said he will shoot better. He was busy passing and setting up teammates, 18 points from James don't look like they'll be enough, so James' assesment appears to be adequate.

Date: Sunday, June 9

Time: 8 p.m. ET

Don't miss the live action of Game 2 as the Heat will look to tie the series.
