The San Antonio Spurs are up 2-1 in the series after demolishing the Heat in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. They relied on unusual characters like Danny Green and Gary Neal to win the game. The Heat battled until the Green and Neal decided to put things away.

Green and Neal led the Spurs to victory as San Antonio blew this game open in the third quarter. Green dropped 27 points, while Neal had 24. Combined, the two went 13-19 from beyond the arc. For Neal, it was a hell of a game, some calling it the game of his career. For Green, it's something he was doing all series long.

Tony Parker and Tim Duncan were absent in this game once again, but the supporting cast stepped up. Together, Duncan and Parker scored 18 points. As a team, the Spurs outrebounded the Heat 49-31 and hit 17 threes.

LeBron James had a nightmare of a game though scoring 15 points. He went 7-21 from the floor. Chris Bosh had issues in the first quarter as he went 1-5 from the floor. He couldn't get anything from the outside, making the Heat's game one dimensional to start things off. While the Heat had troubles scoring, the Spurs shot 61 percent in the first quarter.

The second quarter saw great play from the Spurs and Heat as they exchanged runs. The Spurs took a 10-point lead, however, the Heat rallied back and right before the half ended, Miami tied the game 44-44. The Spurs popped two threes to close the first half as Parker and Neal took their lead back up to six.

In the third quarter, the Spurs put the game away. For the first time in the Heat's history, they lost a Game 3, meanwhile the Spurs have never trailed in an NBA Finals series.
