San Antonio Spurs Kawhi Leonard Shuts Down LeBron James In NBA Finals, Star Gets Invite To USA Basketball Camp With Paul George, Kyrie Irving and John Wall

The San Antonio Spurs are up 2-1 in the NBA finals after a fantastic win against the Miami Heat in Game 3 and the way that Kawhi Leonard has been shutting down LeBron James has been one of the biggest differences in the series as Game 4 is coming on Thursday night.

Leonard has been playing well all season and through the playoffs, which is why he received an invitation to tryout at camp for the USA Basketball team in July. According to ESPN.com, Leonard and a number of other young players got invites to the camp, which will run in July from the 22-25 in Las Vegas and there will also be an exhibition game with the team at the Thomas & Mack Center. He was one of 27 players to get an invite, including John Wall, Mike Conley, Damian Lillard and many others. Paul George as well as Jrue Holiday were also invited and the team will be coached by Mike Krzyzewski and his assistants Jim Boeheim, Monty Williams and Tom Thibodeau.

The rest of the players announced included: Mike Conley (Memphis), Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson (New Orleans Pelicans); Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried (Denver); Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson (Golden State); John Wall and Bradley Beal (Washington); DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento); DeMar DeRozan (Toronto); Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond (Detroit); Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward (Utah); Taj Gibson (Chicago); DeAndre Jordan (Los Angeles Clippers); Chandler Parsons (Houston); Larry Sanders (Milwaukee); Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller (Cleveland); and Kemba Walker (Charlotte).
