Tim Tebow is now with the New England Patriots after a long free agent dance as an NFL quarterback without a job and now that his situation is settled, the star can get back to normal work, which is why he will be in Alabama in Birmingham for a men's retreat on Father's Day weekend.

According to AL.com, Tebow will be headlining the retreat in Alabama at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center on June 14-15 and he will speak at the Gridiron Men's Conference that will also feature a number of other guests, including author Josh McDowell, , Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy and author Phil Waldrep while there will also be worship and Christian stuff. The two day event will feature a number of speakers and activities and the organizers are excited to have the 25-year-old speaking at the event.

Tebow is back in the NFL after being released by the Jets and the former Heisman winner and Florida Gators star will be ready to compete for playing time this season. Tebow is known for his strong Christian beliefs and many felt that was one reason why he wasn't getting a new job in the league. Tebow used to wear Bible verses on his eye black before the NCAA banned using it and after being drafted by the Broncos he was eventually traded to the Jets,.

While with the Broncos Tebow took over as starting quarterback for the team at 1-4 and led the team to seven wins in 11 games and took them to the playoffs, where they defeated the Steelers in overtime before the Patriots beat the Broncos. After the team signed Peyton Manning, they traded Tebow to the Jets, who welcomed him with great fanfare, but like the B-League organization they are, they had no idea what to do with him and it was disaster.

The team acted like they wanted to use him but did everything otherwise, including using him as a blocker and not giving him a chance and he finished with just 102 yards rushing and 39 in the air. The team then cut him in the morning and acted as if he was never there and while they can say whatever they want about it, they brought him in to steal headlines from the Super Bowl champion Giants and they totally screwed it up.

Now Tebow is with a division rival and Bill Belichick is schooling the team on how to do things without making it a circus. The event is happy to have Tebow this weekend. Tebow is scheduled to speak at 9 p.m.
