NBA Standings 2013: Spurs' Danny Green Sets Finals Record For Most Made Three-Pointers, Tim Duncan Says 'I Hope He Doesn't Wake Up'

San Antonio Spurs' guard Danny Green has solidified his spot as one of the NBA's premier sharp shooters as he has now converted 25 three-point field goals during the NBA Finals, breaking a record previously held by the Miami Heat's Ray Allen.

The former D-Leaguer has put on a remarkable performance, going 25 for 38 from the three-point line during these playoffs. In Sunday's crucial Game 5 114-104 victory over the Heat, Green went 6 for 10 from beyond the ark, giving him a total of 24 points by the time the game concluded.

Allen previously held the record for the Finals and a six-game playoff series with 22.

With Game 6 on Tuesday in Miami, Green is on pace to approaching the top 3-point shooting performances of all time, which includes:

28 - Dennis Scott, Orlando vs. Indiana, 1995 (43.1 percent)

28 - Ray Allen, Milwaukee vs. Philadelphia, 2001 (50.9)

27 - Ray Allen, Boston vs. Chicago, 2009 (46.6)

Though Scott shot 43.1 percent, Green is currently shooting an impressive 65.8 percent. The NBA record for a six-game series is 68.0 (Steven Jackso, Spurs) and 66.7 for a seven-game series (Gordon Giricek, Utah Jazz).

"I hope he doesn't wake up," Duncan said, "and keeps playing this way."
