NBA Finals MVP Predictions: Danny Green Has Inside Track For Spurs With Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, LeBron James Will Win If Miami Heat Makes 3-2 Series Comeback

The San Antonio Spurs are up 3-2 in the NBA finals over the Miami Heat and with a win in Game 6 the team could take its fourth title with the Big three in Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, but the MVP would likely go to Danny Green with the way he has played.

Green has been stellar for the Spurs in the finals and in Game 5 he was great again, sinking six three-pointers to set the finals record for most made in a series, breaking the one held by Ray Allen. After the game, Green now has 25 shots from long-range in the finals and he is averaging 18 points, which is a boost of nearly 10 from the rest of the postseason.

Green has been on fire during the finals and he has helped fuel the Spurs, as he has 25 shots made in five games and is shooting an astonishing 65 percent from long range. He has improved his shooting from 43 percent and he has totally demolished his numbers in five games compared to the other 14 in the playoffs. The performance of Green is exactly what the Spurs needed and his play could get him the MVP of the finals depending on how things play out.

One of the big three in Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili could easily win it, but if Green has another performance like he did in Game 5, it likely will be his. He defeated the record that Ray Allen had in the 2008 finals after he made 22 shots in six games and he did his best on Sunday to help, scoring 21 points for the Heat while trying to help stage a comeback. The Heat now will need to rally and win both games at home to take the series, while the Spurs just need to win one after the performance by Green.

Tony Parker had 26 points to lead the Spurs, while Duncan added 12 points and Ginobili had 10 assists and 24 points for his best game of the playoffs. Ginobili scored more points than he had all season and the way he played it was hard for Miami to stop him. James and Dwyane Wade each had 25 points, but it wasn't enough and neither were the 10 assists from Wade, who played aggressively all game. Bosh added 16 points for the Heat, but the whole game was about Green and if he plays even slightly worse than that, he will likely win the playoffs MVP.

Playoffs MVP prediction: Green wins it if Spurs do.

James wins it if Heat come back.
