The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers have re-opened discussions and the possibilities of including guard Eric Bledsoe into the Kevin Garnett-Doc Rivers deal with the hopes of completing an agreement Monday, according to Yahoo! Sports.

The discussions over the blockbuster deal was thought to have reached its peak on Saturday when Celtics general manager Danny Ainge held firm that Bledsoe had to be a part of a package deal that included DeAndre Jordan and several first-round picks, but sources say that Boston's willingness to find another asset to supplant Bledsoe and complete the complicated deal.

The Clippers are willing to give Rivers a five-year deal to man the sidelines, with the hope that it will help them lock up the re-signing of free-agent All-Star point guard Chris Paul.

Rivers currently has three years and $21 million left on his contract with the Celtics, but doesn't want to stay in Boston if the franchise is not looking to bring back Garnett or Paul Pierce in order to avoid rebuilding for another year.

Rivers has been among the most respected and well-liked coaches in the NBA for many years now. On more than one occasion he stated that he would consider taking a sabbatical from coaching in order to recharge as well as spend more time with his family.

There's no telling what the future has for Rivers but you can count on him making the best move for himself.
