Manchester United target Kevin Strootman is desperate for a move to the English Premier League, while Juventus have ruled out the sale of Claudio Marchisio.
Strootman is thought to be one of the No.1 candidates to take over the midfield role at Old Trafford under new manager David Moyes.
Chief scout Jim Lawlor was present to watch the 23-year-old in action against Russia in the UEFA European U-21 Championships, with some reports even suggesting United had already had an offer accepted by PSV.
Moyes definitely needs an all-action midfielder in his squad for next season and the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Marchisio have also been linked.
However, if all goes well, Strootman could be the man bossing the middle of the park alongside Michael Carrick next season, with the Dutch international keen on a move to the Premier League, according to his agent Chiel Dekker.
"He is focussed on England because that would suit his style," Dekker said.
"He has the physique, the character and the fitness for it. I am certainly not afraid he could handle that level."
Strootman is thought to be valued at £17 million ($27 million) by PSV and Dekker is hopeful a Premier League club will come up and make an agreeable offer.
"Kevin has ambition but it is not in my hands," Dekker added. "From PSV it would have to be a step up to a good club.
"It is not simple though because the price will be expensive and not many teams can afford him.
"The clubs know what he can do now. It is up to them whether they want to reach an agreement with PSV and take him."
Meanwhile, United's hopes of landing Marchisio this summer seem slim after Juventus director general Beppe Marotta insisted the Italian international would be a Juve player come next season - unless of course they receive a crazy bid.
"We won't sell him," Marotta told calciomercato.com.
"It seems to me that the clearest demonstration about Marchisio's importance to Juventus was the contract renewal we signed in September 2012 until June 2017 which changed his salary.
"We would only review the situation if a sensational offer arrived that wasn't in line with the market and that, until this moment, hasn't arrived."
