The San Antonio Spurs will need some time to recover from their devastating Game 6 loss in overtime, but with just one day off before Game 7, they might not have enough after dropping the championship clinching game 103-100.
LeBron James and the Heat never gave up in the game despite being down late in the fourth quarter and after the Spurs couldn't make foul shots, the team was able to tie it on an amazing Ray Allen three pointer that put it into extra time. Allen got the ball from Chris Bosh, who made a fantastic offensive rebound to keep the team alive and after passing the ball, Allen hit the magical three.
In overtime Bosh made some more big plays, blocking both Tony Parker and Danny Green to seal the victory and now they must try to win a road Game 7, which is hard enough to do itself. James finished with 32 points and 11 assists with 10 rebounds for another playoffs triple double and despite scoring 25 points in the first quarter, Tim Duncan was stopped by the Heat down the stretch.
Miami showed what it's made of in the game and now the Spurs will need to recover somehow to get the win. They had a Texas Rangers moment, as the team was so close to a championship before losing it, just like the Rangers did when they were one strike away from the Cardinals losing the World Series. Of course they ended up winning. The Spurs now will have to find a way to come back, as the NBA was readying the court for the championship with the trophy, but once Miami saw that, they knew what they had to do.
James and Bosh were fantastic at the end and Dwyane Wade was gutsy as he played with an injured knee. Duncan finished with 30 points and 17 rebounds while Tony Parker had eight assists, but it was the plays that weren't made and free throws not converted that may haunt the Spurs. The team now must come back after the loss with the series tied 3-3 to see if they can be champions.
