New England Patriots Rumors: Aaron Hernandez Threatened Wes Welker As Rookie After NFL Draft, Tight End Faces Arrest In Homicide Case As Past Scrutinized

Since reports came out about Aaron Hernandez's possible involvement in a murder case, his past has been scrutinized more and more and with questions about associates from Connecticut as well as issues at Florida, now a report has come out about the tight end getting into it with wideout Wes Welker after the NFL draft.

According to Pro Football Talk, Welker and Hernandez got into it days after the tight end was drafted by the Patriots, as the Boston Globe says that it happened as Hernandez came to the team facility to wait film. Per the report, is says that Hernandez asked Welker for help starting the equipment after being frustrated and asked Welker for help. As he walked by, Welker responded, "rookie, figure it out."

Hernandez then slipped out and started throwing expletives at Welker, saying, "f- you Wes, I'll f- you up!" Reports have come out now about NFL teams being weary about Hernandez's past and his associates and now it appears right why some teams passed on him. Rookies usually get a hard time from veterans, but the threat was probably uncalled for in that situation. The report also said that Hernandez spent more time with friends from his old neighborhood rather than "time with his Patriots teammates off the field." Clearly now with the murder case, that is a mistake.

Hernandez is not ruled out by police nor is he a suspect, but after destroying security equipment and his phone and being uncooperative, he is facing an obstruction of justice charge. On top of that, he had a cleaning crew at his home and he also was seen on video with the victim hours before he was killed.
