As the New England Patriots await the results of police investigation of tight end Aaron Hernandez, speculation continues on the future of Tim Tebow.
As the outcome of Hernandez's police investigation still in the works, there has been a growing theory that the team will convert Tebow from a quarterback into a tight end.
However, according to ESPNBoston's Mike Reiss, the Pats are more interested in utilizing Tebow as the third-string quarterback.
Hernandez remains a suspect in the murder investigation of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whose body was found less than a mile away from his home. A source has identified Hernandez at a bar in Boston with Lloyd and two other men on the night of the murder, and that all four men left the location together in a car driven by Hernandez, which Lloyd reportedly confirmed in a text to a friend.
Forensic evidence was found that links the car to one of the crime scenes, but to which crime scene has still have yet to be specified.
Hernandez returned home Wednesday afternoon, declining to speak to media members.
"It has been widely reported in the media that the state police have searched the home of our client, Aaron Hernandez, as part of an ongoing investigation," read a statement from Michael Fee, an attorney at Ropes & Gray. "Out of respect for that process, neither we nor Aaron will have any comment about the substance of that investigation until it has come to a conclusion."
Police are asking for the public's help in locating a silver mirror cover believed to have been broken off a vehicle and might be visible along a route of travel between Dorchester, where Lloyd was from, and North Attleborough.
