Aaron Hernandez Arrested Likely Charges For Obstruction of Justice In Murder Investigation, Patriots Star TE Taken Into Police Custody In Connection With Odin Lloyd Homicide

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested by police and taken into custody for his connection to the murder of Odin Lloyd and he now will continue dealing with media scrutiny after being involved in the investigation.

Although it hasn't been announced what he was arrested for, the story won't be over for the NFL star until the police decide to clear him or not from the case. The police took him into custody on Wednesday morning and while the charges haven't been announced, it is likely for obstruction of justice, which has been rumored this week. There were conflicting reports about the warrant, but clearly now police have executed it.

When he was led out of the house, Hernandez was white T-shirt, long red athletic shorts and black sneakers and while his lawyer said that the media writing stories was mostly baseless, here he is now in custody. The 27-year-old victim was dating Hernandez's girlfriend's sister and reports said that the tight end was seen with Lloyd the night of the murder. The authorities searched his home for hours over the weekend and also searched the area near his home earlier in the week.

Hernandez was placed in a police cruiser and now his future is truly up in the air, as charges have not been made public but since he was arrested there is a good chance he will be fined or suspended by the NFL. Video in the neighborhood showed Hernandez with Lloyd hours before the murder and the arrest is likely coming after he allegedly destroyed his phone and home security system. The tight end also had a cleaning crew come to the house on Monday to work.

Michael Fee, an attorney for Hernandez, released a statement Monday night that read:

"Over the past week, our client, Aaron Hernandez, has been the subject of a relentless flood of rumors, misinformation, and false reports in the media. These include the repeated publication of a supposedly confirmed report that an arrest warrant had been issued for Aaron, a report that was exposed as untrue.

"None of these false reports come from official sources and we appreciate the professionalism and restraint shown by the Bristol County District Attorney's Office to date with regard to its public statements while its investigation is underway. Out of respect for that ongoing investigation, we will continue to refrain from commenting on its substance."
