The New England Patriots handled the media firestorm when they signed Tim Tebow and now they have another one, as former tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested and charged with murder in the death of Odin Lloyd.

The Patriots released the star after the arrest came down and when he was arraigned, numerous details about the case came out, including contact between Lloyd and Hernandez as well as video of him with a gun and saying that people can't be trusted anymore. According to NESN.com, Tim Tebow is continuing to work hard this offseason and he has put his love life and any girlfriend on the back burner while he concentrates on trying to make the team.

Tebow has taken a backseat to the attention and he also has bailed on his love life for a little while to concentrate on just football and now he also will take a backseat to the arrest of Hernandez. The tight end was taken into custody and now is facing murder charges stemming from the death of Odin Lloyd. Tebow now could be thrown into the offense at tight end, as many have speculated, but it is likely that Bill Belichick will use Jake Ballard instead.

The team will get Rob Gronkowski back, but they will miss the production from Hernandez, who signed a five-year, $40 million contract extension and now that is all gone. The Patriots will certainly try to get some signing bonus and guaranteed money back and he leaves the team with 175 catches, 1,956 yards and 18 touchdowns over three seasons, including five scores and 51 catches last season.

Some in the NFL saw his past at Florida as checkered and that is why he slipped to the Patriots and Tebow was with him there and won games with him, now he is left on the roster while Hernandez is in jail. Tebow was a good soldier with the Jets and he will be a good one with the Patriots too and if they want him to get on the field as a tight end, he surely will do for the team. Tebow had 102 yards rushing last season and no receptions, but he is athletic and can move around the field and if he can play alongside Tom Brady, he will figure out how to do his best at it.
