The Blackhawks will bring the Cup directly to the fans and it will get started up at 10:30 AM Friday morning downtown in the city before moving along for a rally at 11:00 AM in Grant Park at Hutchinson Field where the team will join fans for 45 minutes. The parade will be broadcast over the local WGN website and the team will be holding its second celebration in four years and the parade this time is expected to follow a similar schedule as the first time around back in 2010.

The Chicago Blackhawks are Stanley Cup champions for the second time in four season after defeating the Boston Bruins in the NHL playoffs and after celebrating at the TD Garden and for a few days afterwards, the team will bring the Cup home to celebrate with the fans in a championship parade.

The schedule for the parade was released by city officials on Wednesday and the office said that there would be Jumbotrons and large screens for people in the crowd, but they said that there will be some restrictions on what people can bring it. People who want to come to the rally can enter at Jackson and Michigan and also at Congress and Michigan, but people won't be allowed to bring in coolers, backpacks, alcohol or large bags.

After incidents at the Boston Marathon, officials will try to keep things calm and family friendly and there will also be bomb sniffing dogs as well as plainclothes and uniformed police in the area. The weather is supposed to be above average and people drinking on the street should expect to be arrested said police officials. Police also said that anyone who tries to hop over the barriers at the parade will be arrested and they hope people won't do it, as some did last time around in 2010. More public transportation will be added on the day of the parade and street closures are also expected in some areas. Last time around, two million people were estimated to have come to the parade and this year mayor Rahm Emanuel said a higher number was expected.
