Real Madrid Ease Past APOEL 5-2, Ronaldo Leads Spaniards into Champions League Semi-Finals

Real Madrid reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with a 5-2 victory over APOEL in their second-leg encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.

A brace from Ronaldo, along with goals from Kaka, Jose Callejon and Angel Di Maria was enough on the night for Madrid to end APOEL's fairytale run and progress 8-2 on aggregate.

Madrid will now face Bayern Munich in the semi-final, with the first leg of the two ties to be played on April 17 at the Allianz Arena.

With a 3-0 deficit from the first leg, APOEL needed a near miracle against Real Madrid. And all they could manage was two goals. Gustavo Manduca and Esteban Solari were the scorers for the Cypriot club.
