With Andy Murray showing imperious form at Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic will be keen to bring out his best weapons as well when the world number one takes on No. 28 seed Jeremy Chardy of France in the third round.

If Djokovic and Murray come through to the final as expected it sets up a dream clash between the two best players remaining in the draw.

However, Djokovic is not getting too ahead of himself just yet, especially with the amount of upsets already seen at the All England Club.

"I don't think about that final because it's still a very long way," he said. "I think the fact that the top players lost in the last few days gives enough reason for all of us to not underestimate any opponent and not look that far.

"So we got to take it step by step. It's sport, you know. This is what happens. Everybody, especially lower-ranked players in the opening rounds, have nothing to lose really when they go on the center stage and they come up with their best game.

"It's something that you should always be cautious about, you know, the potential upsets in the first rounds until you're trying to get the rhythm on the court and somebody comes out and is feeling the ball really well.

"These are part of the sport.  There is also a huge amount of expectations for the top players always to reach the final stages, and, you know, predicting the top-up matches.

"But in the end of the day we cannot forget all the other players who are taking a part of this tournament.  You know, this makes it even more interesting, I think, the fact that in a way it was surprising that so many top players lost in last few days."

Serena Williams is also in action Saturday and the American will look to continue her serene progress with a win over Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm.

In other intriguing matches, Richard Gasquet, seeded nine, takes on Australian tyro Bernard Tomic in the third round, while David Ferrer faces a tricky match against the dangerous Alexandr Dolgopolov.

"He's a very difficult (opponent)," Tomic said on facing Gasquet. "Also he's a player that I don't mind playing because I know I've lost to him the last two times I played him, but I feel like my game suits him pretty well.

"The grass is a little bit different. I played him on hard court twice. Unfortunately lost 7-6, 6-2 both times. But I feel on grass I can really get to him, not allow him to play his game, sort of."
