The Aaron Hernandez case involving the murder of Odin Lloyd has put the tight end in jail and as he faces life in prison for the crime, his fiancé Shayanna Jenkins and child are outside and alone and likely staying with family after the shocking arrest last week of the former Patriots star.
According to My Fox Boston, Jenkins and the baby are likely staying with family after appearing in court extremely emotional when Hernandez was denied bail and now the star is facing investigation in connection with another double murder. Jenkins and her sister are likely going through a tough time, as she was dating Odin Lloyd at the time of the murder and the four were friendly with each other.
The Boston Globe reported that Hernandez knew Lloyd for two years and after the body was discovered less than a mile from his home in Attleboro, he was looked at as a suspect. Hernandez was charged with murder and released after being arrested last week and he was denied bail on two separate occasions. Details about the case have come out in both of those hearings, including that Lloyd was shot five times, the body was not moved, shell casings tied to Hernandez as well as cell phone and video surveillance.
The judge described the murder as an execution and Hernandez as a cold blooded killer and that is why she denied bail. She ruled he was a flight risk due to the means of being able to flee and the fact that the charges were so serious. He is facing five gun charges on top of the first degree murder charge and he also could be facing more charges due to the fact that he is being investigated in a double murder.
Hernandez was considered one of the best young tight ends in the game, which is why he was given and $40 million contract. The Patriots cut him despite the contract and now the team will take a salary cap hit due to that.
Many fans have come out on Twitter saying that Hernandez is innocent and the tag of "Free Aaron Hernandez" has been tweeted out by many people. Some have come out to cheer the tight end when he appeared in court while teammate Deion Branch said he was shocked to see his friend implicated in a murder.
