The New England Patriots are going through a tough time with the Aaron Hernandez murder case and while that situation is obviously bad, the franchise also has football questions to deal with, which makes it a possibility that Bill Belichick could bring back Brandon Lloyd.
According to ESPN Boston, Lloyd could be an option for the Patriots after the two sides parted ways over money and even though the team is dealing with a salary cap situation due to releasing Hernandez, they need more weapons on offense. Hernandez is now gone and with Rob Gronkowski coming back from surgery and Wes Welker on the Broncos, the team needs some more wideouts in the fold.
Lloyd could come back with the team after making over 70 catches last season, but Belichick may decide they are better off with just Danny Amendola along with rookie Aaron Dobson and Josh Boyce as well as Julian Edelman. Brady can handle throwing to anyone and while many have speculated that Tim Tebow will play more, he likely will just be a quarterback and now the Patriots also have to answer questions about why they missed signs on Hernandez.
Hernandez is sitting in jail and facing life in prison for the murder of Odin Lloyd and the Patriots decided to release him after he was arrested, The case was a swift fall for one of the top young players in the NFL and it has shed a light on his time at Florida and with the Patriots, as he is also being investigated in a double murder that could be connected to this crime.
