Sabine Lisicki and Marion Bartoli will have one aim come Saturday afternoon at Centre Court - win their first ever Grand Slam title, and that too the best one of the lot -Wimbledon.
Lisicki will probably seen as the slight favorite, having beaten the likes of Serena Williams and Agnieszka Radwanska on her way to the final and the No. 23 seed is looking forward to be the first German since the legendary Steffi Graf to lift the famous title.
"(I'm) Overwhelmed. I'm just so happy," Lisicki said after sealing a place in the final with a win over world number four Radwanska. "Couldn't be any better, and couldn't be any better place to play the first Grand Slam final.
"I think I haven't realized it yet. When I arrived here at the tournament, I just, you know, said that anything's possible. That's what I believed, I still do.
"I came to win every match that I walk on the court on, and that's what I've done so far. So looking forward to Saturday."
Bartoli has been her effervescent and unorthodox best and the Frenchwoman will want to get her hands on the famous trophy having lost in the final to Venus Williams six years ago.
"Last time what was the most difficult I felt was not having a day off between the two," she said. "Obviously, I finished extremely late against Justine (Henin) and come back right away, less than 24 hours to play against Venus, it was really a hard task.
"It was hard physically to recover from those kind of matches, where today (Thursday) I felt I played a fairly quick match and I have a day off tomorrow, so I will be totally fresh to go into the final.
"I think I'm serving better (from six years ago). I think I'm doing everything just better. I think I'm able to hit the ball harder. I'm moving faster.
"I mean, I do just everything a bit better than what I was doing six years ago. I think if I would play myself now with my game six years ago compared with my game today I would probably be beating myself quite easily because I'm just doing everything better.
"If you compare the speed of my shots, the way I'm moving, I'm just doing everything better, honestly."
