For the third time in the last four grand slams, it will be Djokovic (1) vs. Murray (2). So far, the series is 1-1 with Djokovic owning the latest victory between the two, which took place at Melbourne as the Serb captured his fourth championship at the Australian Open. Things were rolling Murray's way for a while in that match before encountering a feather that interrupted one of his serves.
Though Djokovic has won three straight matches against the Scot, Murray captured his first grand slam title against Djokovic at the 2012 U.S. Open. If he can repeat this performance, it will be a historic day at Wimbledon. He has won four straight matches against Murray only once in his career and that was back from 2006-2008 when their head-to-head series first started. Can Djokovic make it 12-7? Will Murray break the curse and better his record to 8-11? Murray is coming off a dominant performance against the top server at Wimbledon, Jerzy Janowicz. Meanwhile, Djokovic dropped his first two sets of the tournament in his semifinal meeting against Juan Martin Del Potro. Both players have given us plenty of moments in this tournament, but on Sunday, they will go for the ultimate prize at the All England Club.
