Luis Suarez said he was flattered to hear of interest from the likes of Arsenal, as the Liverpool forward continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield in the summer.
Suarez has expressed his unhappiness with life in England, and in the process flirting with the likes of Real Madrid, who are thought to be considering a move for the Uruguayan international.
However, when the Arsenal-making-an-official-bid news broke out, it seemed like there was not much in it, as, according to the player himself, the only reason why he wants to leave Liverpool is because he is disillusioned by the way he has been treated by the English media.
Since Arsenal is very much an English Premier League club, it would seem unlikely that Suarez would be open to a move to the Emirates in the summer; however, that did not stop the 26-year-old from expressing his happiness at hearing of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
"It's good to know that I am still valued by teams like Arsenal," Suarez told Uruguayan radio station Sport 890. "Friends call me up to ask if I am moving to Chelsea, to which I laugh.
"Don't believe everything you read or hear! I am sometimes off the grid. I don't even know where my phone is sometimes."
Suarez revealed there have been no offers on the table yet from any club, but insisted Liverpool know of his desire to leave.
"There have been no offers yet, but Liverpool know exactly what is going on and what I want," he added.
"My agent is in charge, he knows what I want, I am resting and relaxed. I am due back in about 10 days, on the 21st of July (for the friendly with Melbourne Victory)... a phone call could change everything."
It is unlikely that Liverpool will agree to sell Suarez to a direct Premier League rival, and it looks like Arsenal only made the supposed bid to force Real Madrid's hand into selling Gonzalo Higuain.
