Aaron Hernandez Admitted To Ernest Wallace He Shot Odin Lloyd, Accomplice Carlos Ortiz Says Patriots Star Confessed To Murder, Enough To Use In Trial?

Aaron Hernandez has been in jail for the murder of Odin Lloyd and after the 156-page court report on search warrants in the case was released on Tuesday, it appears that he has admitted to the shooting, as documents showed that Carlos Ortiz said that he was told the tight end said he committed the murder.

According to ESPN.com, the court documents that were released showed that Ortiz said that another accomplice, Ernest Wallace, who is also in custody, told him that Hernandez said that he shot Lloyd the day after the murder. Until now, prosecutors had not stated who shot Lloyd the night of the murder, but now information points to Hernandez as at least one of the shooters. Hernandez has been charged with first degree murder in the crime and is facing life in prison for the death of Lloyd after being arrested two weeks ago. The body of Lloyd was discovered on June 17 and Hernandez was investigated and taken into custody the following week, after which the Patriots released him despite giving him a $40 million contract extension last year.

Numerous court documents were released on Tuesday, including information regarding search warrants and affidavits and they revealed a host of details about the case, including about Hernandez's first contact with police. After the body was discovered less than a mile from Hernandez's North Attleboro mansion, police appeared at the tight ends home and eventually he came out to see what was going on, after which they asked him about an SUV that he rented.

After being asked a number of questions about the car, he responded with a remark and then went into the house and closed the door before coming out later on and giving them his lawyer's card. Following the encounter police told him that they were investigating a death and said that he showed little or no concern for what they were looking into. Following his arrest, Hernandez was released by the Patriots and police also went to Gillette Stadium to search his locker and all his items were already in a container.

While investigators said the three men were the ones in the car the night of the murder, meaning Hernandez, Ortiz and Wallace, presumably all three know who pulled the trigger. While the chain seems off since Ortiz should already know, it could mean that one person stayed in the car while the other two committed the murder, meaning Ortiz was there but did not witness who actually pulled the trigger and killed Lloyd.
