The San Francisco 49ers still maintain to have their interest in former Indianapolis Colts' receiver Austin Collie, but are unlikely to make a move on him until after training camp begins, a source close the situation said this week.

Collie worked out for coaches and scouts on June 13, and still remains a top priority this summer for the Colts. He has since recovered from a torn patella tendon that cost him majority of the 2012 season with the Colts, and has passed all the neurological tests associated with concussions.

Of greater concern to NFL teams is his concussion history -- he has suffered three since 2010, the latest of which came at the beginning of last season.

Collie has been training in Utah this offseason and also has plans to workout with the Patriots.

San Francisco will enter training camp looking for someone to start opposite of veteran Anquan Boldin. The team plans to stage an open competition across from him, with Mario Manningham on his way back from a serious knee injury, youngsters A.J. Jenkins, Quinton Patton, Marlon Moore, Ricardo Lockette and Kyle Williams will fight for snaps.
