Former Gunner Blasts Arsenal Fans on Twitter

Manchester City's French attacking midfielder, Samir Nasri, after being booed at the Emirates during City's loss to the Gunners, has blasted Arsenal fans saying that he has a better chance of lifting a trophy with the Citizens.

The former Arsenal star, who transferred from Arsenal to City last summer for a fee of £19 million, said he left the Gunners so that he could win some silverware with the Citizens.

Although that seems very unlikely now, the 24 year old Frenchman still seems very determined in his mission as he recently blasted Piers Morgan (a British journalist andtelevision presenter), who mockingly asked him about his earlier claims on Twitter.

"Remember this @SamNasri19? Just wondered how that trophy cabinet's coming along?" posted Morgan on the micro blogging site.

To this the Frenchman replied: "@piersmorgan I'm aware what I said about titles I'm sure I will lift a trophy with Man City before AFC. And to all the Arsenal fans, move on. City are 10 points ahead of you. Just support your team and forget about me."

Nasri had earlier said in an interview that he had left Arsenal for Manchester City because he wanted to win trophies and he thought City were the team who were capable of doing that.

"Now I'm at a team that I feel can win trophies. You play football because you love it, also because, above all, you want to win trophies. I still have the dreams I had as a kid: to be champion by winning a cup or even the Champions League. I want to feel the satisfaction you get from having had a successful season. You can only get that by winning a title, coming out on top. I want to experience collective triumph," said Nasri, according to a Daily Mail report.

Morgan also challenged Nasri to a £10,000 bet to see if the Frenchman was ready to put his money on City. Nasri readily agreed saying: "No problem we bet and the winner gives the money to a charity."

Meanwhile, Nasri also said that City were investing their money wisely to get fresh, young and talented players into the club and they were the club of the future.

"The club has been buying lots of players over the last three years and most of them are young. They may already be internationals but they all have plenty of potential to improve. Most people may just talk about the money but you get the feeling here that the club directors have a well thought-through plan. Everything at every level is top-class," he said, reported the Daily Mail.
