Prisoner Aaron Hernandez Has Been Described As 'Nothing But Perfect' As He Awaits Trail At Bristol County House of Correction In The Shooting Death Of Odin Llyod

As former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez awaits his trial for his connection in the shooting death of his friend Odin Llyod, staff at the Bristol County House of Correction have said that he's followed all the rules and has been causing little to no problems.

According to Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson, Hernandez has been a model inmate while awaiting trial on charges of first-degree murder.

"He's been nothing but perfect," Hodgson said. "I met with him when he first came in to lay the rules out. I said, 'Here's the deal. You won't be treated any better or worse or get any special privileges here. If you have any issues or problems, tell command.' He was very polite and very respectful. He didn't seem nervous, he seemed very comfortable."

While incarcerated, Hernandez has been separated from the general population of inmates because Hodgson says that there are concerns that the other inmates could attack him to raise their own reputation. As of now Hernandez is confined to a 7-foot-by-10-foot cell for 21 hours a day. Even when he's allowed to exercise he is moved from his cell to a 8-foot-by-12-foot cage, where he does pushups, situps and squats.

Hernandez doesn't have access to television but does have books available and is allowed to write letters. He is allowed to have visitors for one hour each week. The jail has declined to comment on whether any of Hernandez's former teammates on the Patriots have paid him a visit.
