Oakland Raiders Rumors: Washington Redskins On NFL Schedule For First Time Since 2009, Darren McFadden, JaMarcus Russell and Jason Campbell Starred In Skins Victory

The Oakland Raiders are excited for the 2013 season after going just 4-12 last year, but one thing the team should worry about is playing against Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins for the first time since 2009, which came on the west coast and saw the Raiders lose 34-14.

Griffin took the league by storm last year and this time around he will give the Raiders defense fits despite improvements from Reggie McKenzie, as he likely will continue his strong play from last season. McKenzie added names like Charles Woodson, DJ Hayden, Kevin Burnett, Nick Roach, Tracy Porter and Mike Jenkins and that should help improve the defense greatly from last season. The two franchises have a rich history that started in October of 1070 and that gam saw the Raiders win and overall they have a 7-4 record in all-time matchups.

The two teams played in Super Bowl XVIII against each other when the Raiders were in LA in a blowout 39-9 and now the two teams will face off again in 2013. Griffin will be coming back from a serious knee injury and everyone will want to see if he can be as explosive as he was for last year.

The game from 2009 saw the Raiders playing with bust Jamarcus Russell and former Raiders QB Jason Campbell was on the other side for Washington, while Darren McFadden also had a solid game. This time around, the raiders are hoping for a win.
