The Dallas Cowboys were in a tough situation with Josh Brent and now that the disgraced star has decided to retire, attention turns towards training camp as well as intoxication manslaughter trial that is coming up after the death of teammate Jerry Brown.
According to ESPN.com, lawyers were cautioned about the case and there are a number of players that are set to appear as witnesses in the trial, as they were placed on the prosecutors' witness list for the intoxication manslaughter trial. The players include now Oakland Raiders cornerback Mike Jenkins, safety Danny McCray, safety Barry Church, corner Orlando Scandrick, safety Gerald Sensabaugh and fullback Lawrence Vickers.
Brent has been charged after a crash in December killed his teammate Jerry Brown and he has also had issues since then with drug tests and other problems. His trial will start in September and will be the day after the Cowboys play the Rams on Sunday.
