Following an uproar against Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen's comments regarding Fidel Castro, no protests were present at the team's first home game after the incident.

However, ballpark was only about half-full at game time of the total 36,442-seat capacity. Previously, the Marlines stated that they expected to sell-out the ballpark every night with 15,000 season tickets already told.

Guillen was not present for the game due to his team-imposed 5-game suspension for the remarks. Guillen had expressed his admiration for the longevity of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro in comments to Time Magazine.

Many in the Cuban and Latin American community in Miami was furious about the comments and spoke of protests and boycotts.

Guillen quickly flew back to Miami to apologize and answer questions about his comments.

"I am here to say I am sorry with my heart in my hands and I want to say I'm sorry to all those people who are hurt indirectly or directly," Guillen said in his apology.

It remains to be seen how fans will react and if protest will erupt when Guillen returns as manager of the Marlins following his suspension.
