MLB Trade Rumors: Bud Norris Scratched From Start As Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates or Los Angeles Dodgers Adding Astros Starter Before Deadline?

The Houston Astros are the worst team in baseball and after scratching starting pitcher Bud Norris from his scheduled start against the Orioles, speculation has come up that he may be dealt and some of the top teams include the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates or Los Angeles Dodgers.

According to Hardball Talk, Norris likely is on the move and Lucas Harrell will start in his place. Norris is one of the most coveted pitchers on the trade market since last year and at 28-years-old he has put together a few nice season with Houston and is under contract until 2015. At one point Norris was 6-9 with a 3.93 ERA and the team likely wants to deal him to get more prospects.

The team is just 35-69 this season and Norris leads the team in ERA and they already started selling by moving Jose Veras to the Tigers, as they desperately needed a closer and in return they got Danry Vasquez, who is hitting .281 with five home runs and 39 RBIs in 96 games. Veras comes over after going 0-4 with a 2.93 ERA and 19 saves this season, and he has struck out 44 in 43 innings with only 14 walks.
