The New Orleans Pelicans have a new name that fans from Louisiana can be proud about and now that the Hornets name is moving back to Charlotte where it belongs, it's time for the Pelicans to show off their newe jerseys for this season and they are sleek and simple, taking a cue from Jay Z and his Brooklyn Nets jerseys from last season.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday debuted the jerseys for fans and showed off the home and away models, both simple in their design and fit. The new jerseys have the simple name of New Orleans on the front and the team colors of blue and gold as well as white for the front and a simple design on the sides and the back. Some fans have not taken a liking to them on Twitter, but Jrue Holiday and forwards Jason Smith, Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson make them look good. The team will also get a new third alternate jersey eventually, but the NBA does not allow that for a team in its first season with new jerseys.
