The NFL preseason is set to finally start with the traditional and always fun Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Sunday night and this year the Dallas Cowboys will take on the Miami Dolphins from Fawcett Stadium in Canton, two teams that have connections to 2013 class inductee Bill Parcells.
Tony Romo likely will not be playing in the game despite wanting to and the preseason matchup comes after the Hall of Fame Class was inducted, including Cris Carter, Bill Parcells and Warren Sapp as well as Larry Allen and Jonathan Ogden. The two teams in the game on Sunday will be looking to start off the year with a win even if it is the preseason and both the Dolphins and the Cowboys are facing seasons where they have playoff expectations in 2013. Some of the players that will have focus in the game include running back Lamar Miller, quarterback Ryan Tannehill as well as Dez Bryant and Jason Witten for the Cowboys.

DeMarcus Ware is getting older and the Cowboys are hopeful for a Pro Bowl season with him and so far all reports from training camp say he is in some of the best shape of his life. The 22,000 seat stadium in Canton will be going crazy for the first actual football game of the season and the Cowboys will be looking to get off to a good start after going 8-8 last year and missing the playoffs on the final day of the season after losing to the Washington Redskins to lose out on the NFC East for the second year in a row, just like they did the year before against the Giants before they went on to win the Super Bowl.
The Cowboys have appeared in the game five times and this will be the first since 2010 and last season the Saints defeated the Cardinals 17-10 and back in 2010 the Cowboys won 16-7 against the Bengals. The Dolphins are starting year two with Ryan Tannehill and the team added Mike Wallace and a number of other players in free agency and they are also bringing back Brian Hartline after a very good season last year. The team will be without Reggie Bush after he signed with the Dolphins and now Miller along with Daniel Thomas and Mike Gillislee will get the chance to show what they can do with chances in the running game.
The Dolphins are coming into the season after going 7-9 last year in the AFC East and after adding a number of new players, the team feels that is can compete with the New England Patriots for a division title and adding Wallace will only help that. The Dolphins have previously played in the Hall of Fame game as well and played in 2005 most recently, losing 27-24 and they have never won when they played in the game.
