Aaron Hernandez's fiancé Shayanna Jenkins was the target of a search by police in connection with the murder case of Odin Lloyd and while she has not been charged, police think she may have helped the former Patriots star dispose of or hide the murder weapon that was used in the crime.

According to ESPN.com, the search of Jenkins came after an interview with her sister Shaneah may have led them to believe that she had information about the gun. The police also mentioned in a released warrant that surveillance video and text messages may have also revealed that she misled or tried to hide evidence in the case. Carlos Ortiz, an accomplice in custody, said that Hernandez stashed the murder weapons in his basement and the day after the murder Jenkins could be seen leaving the home with a bag in her car.

The report says that Jenkins later returned and the bag was gone and that it previously appeared that a "rigid" object was in the bag. Her sister Shaneah was dating Odin Lloyd when he was killed and the Jenkins' are the connection of how Hernandez and Lloyd originally met. Jenkins has not been charged in the crime yet and she previously was speaking with police before Hernandez was arrested, but the tight end later told her to stop.

Police searched a storage unit in her name in her hometown of Bristol but did not turn up the murder weapon. Authorities also searched a pond in Bristol extensively and now Hernandez' cousin is being placed in custody after she did not submit to testifying before the grand jury in the case. Hernandez is facing life in prison for the charges and if police find that Jenkins tried to conceal evidence, she could be facing chargers later on.

The Hernandez case got dumped with a host of new information regarding the murder of Odin Lloyd after a judge decided to unseal the search warrants and other documents in the case on request from the Boston media and so far it does not paint the former star in the best light.

The 156-page search warrant included a number of different areas that were searched and collected, including Hernandez's home, cars, phones and surveillance system as well as a pond near his home and his uncle's home in Connecticut. The police when they first encountered Hernandez said that was being argumentative and at first he slammed the door on them after they came looking for information about the murder of his friend Odin Lloyd.

According to an affidavit that was with the search warrant, Hernandez approached police himself after he saw them outside of his home in North Attleboro, which came after the body was found a mile away. Hernandez has been painted as the orchestrator of the crime along with two other men and the warrant showed that Hernandez and another man, Ernest Wallace's fingerprints were found in a car that was said to be the vehicle that delivered Lloyd to his murder at an industrial park.
