Yu Darvish has been a revelation in 2013. He is currently pitching a no-hitter against the Houston Astros. For some reason, he loves pitching his best Astros and he almost pitched a perfect game against them in the beginning of the season. Can Darvish finish them off in fashion? Check out the live stream and live scoring updates brought to you by MLB.com.
So far, through six innings, Darvish has 12 strikeouts and only one walk allowed to the Astros. Darvish has yet to allow a hit and is currently on the mound in the Top of the 7th inning in Minute Maid Park. So not only is he dominating Astro hitters, Darvish is retiring them via the punch out. The Japanese star is no stranger to strikeouts. He has three double-digit strikeout games in his last nine pitched, not including this ball game. Darvish recently struck out 14 Arizona Diamondbacks as the Rangers went on to win that game 7-1.
The Rangers couldn't ask for more from their 26-year-old ace. He has helped them get back on track in the A.L. West as they currently sit in first place above the Oakland Athletics. In just his second season in the big leagues, Darvish is proving he was worth every cent invested by the Rangers organization. He is 11-5 with a 2.72 ERA. He leads baseball with 192 strikeouts, which have come in only 145.2 innings pitched.
