The Major League Baseball season is going quickly through August and with most divisional races looking like they are set already, the wild card races are tight and that means every win is important, including for teams like the Rangers, Reds, Nationals and Orioles.
The schedule for Tuesday has a full slate of games, including the Angels taking on the Yankees in the Bronx and after an exciting game on Monday night, LA will be looking to get back in the win column. The Yankees had a 2-0 lead in the ninth before giving up a hit to Josh Hamilton, but David Robertson was able to come in and lock down the game after the bases were loaded with two outs in the ninth, striking out a batter for the final out.
The San Francisco Giants are playing the Washington Nationals in DC, while the Red Sox and Blue Jays will go at it one day after three Boston players took in the Toronto game on their day off. The Mariners and Rays will go at it and Tampa Bay will look to continue its strong play this season, as will the Braves as they take on the Phillies. The Reds and Cubs have an NL Central game going, as do the Cardinals and Pirates and that is a huge series for the division.
Other games on the schedule include the Brewers and Rangers, Dodgers and Mets, Tigers and White Sox, Orioles and Diamondbacks as well we the Rockies and Padres, Marlins and Royals and the Indians at Twins. The final game is the Astros against the Athletics.
