The Saints are coming off a tight Week 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Drew Brees had a decent performance, connection on 7 of 10 passes for 65 yards. The Saints found themselves down 10-0 after the first quarter. However, once Luke McCown stepped on the field, it was game over for the Chiefs. Nick Toon and Andy Tanner, both first-year players had big games on the receiving end. Toon caught four passes for 66 yards while Tanner went for 59 yards in three catches. Preston Parker, however, was McCown's favorite target. Two of Parker's four receptions were touchdowns as the third-year receiver went for 43 yards.

The Raiders saw good things from their quarterback, Terrelle Pryor. He completed 6 of 10 passes for 88 yards. However, it was kickers Sebastian Janikowski and Eddy Carmona who starred in their game against the Dallas Cowboys. The two connected four field goals, two each, helping the Raiders top the Cowboys 19-17.
