NFL News: Brandon Jacobs in High Speed Caravan

Apr 23, 2012 02:12 PM EDT

A high-speed caravan of luxury sports cars is being investigated by the New Jersey State Police, after two state troopers were reportedly part of the group and escorted the caravan to Atlantic City.

According to the Star-Ledger, NFL running back Brandon Jacobs was reportedly part of the caravan that featured two flashing police cars with Porsches, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris in the group.

"Brandon was part of a group that went to Atlantic City that day but isn't aware of the details regarding the police escort," Justin Schulman, Jacobs' agent told ESPN.

Jacobs has been known to enjoy driving and has a personal car collection.  In October 2011, Rides magazine profiled Jacobs who talked about his car collection and being a member of the elite Drive Force Club.

The veteran running back played for seven seasons with the New York Giants, before being released and signing with the San Francisco 49ers during the off season.
